Created for a Japanese readership, the challenge was to render complex settings and worldview in Japanese, and to carry the author’s full vision within the strict page count of a short-format story. A bold and experimental piece that embraces creative risk.

A short work that reads a preference for additive-free food as a metaphor for the high-sensitivity (HSP) experience — where the sweetest social kindness can register as poison. The story makes that struggle visible, and offers a temporary consolation rather than a neat resolution.
